About Mysti:

I originally hail from the Lone Star State, so please don't be surprised if a "y'all" or "fixin' to" slips out. Those are ingrained in Texans from birth and are very difficult to remove from our vocabulary.

I am married to a wonderful man named Jason who, for some reason, puts up with me even after more than a decade of being married to me. We don't have any children, but collect pets like it's our full-time job. We do hope to foster to adopt at some point, and we'd love to run our own rescue that doubles as a place to not only find animals a forever home, but also provides ministry to kids in the foster care system as they learn the different hardships the animals have overcome to find their way to a new life of freedom.

I have struggled with mental health issues my entire life, and I'm a firm believer that it's okay to not be okay, and it's more than okay to ask for help.

Favorite Unhealthy Food: CHILE CON QUESO! I like it so much that my phone automatically capitalizes it if I type it in a conversation.

First Concert: I'm dating myself here, but it was The Imperials. We were in the front row and my mom said my dance moves stole the show.

Always too cold or too hot? In fact, I have an otter onesie in my office for occasions when nothing else helps me warm up. Please don't be alarmed if you see a human-sized otter wandering the halls. It's just me.

Favorite Coffee Order: PSL. I don't understand why that hasn't been made a year-round thing yet. We've been through enough as a country. Give us our PSL!

All Time Favorite TV Show: Little House on the Prairie. I was so dedicated to it as a child that after school, I'd put on my prairie dress and bonnet and only answer to the name of "Laura Ingalls." This may also be related to the aforementioned mental health issues.
