Contest Rules

We invite listeners of HOPE 107.9 FM to participate in the many contests we have. In order to make it fun and fair for everyone we have just a few rules we ask you to follow.

1. When entering a contest please pay close attention to the details. If the prize is admission to an event, please make sure you are available for those dates before entering. We do not guarantee that your winning prize can be transferable to another person.

Also watch for specific entry instructions or restrictions. If there is an age limit, it will be noted in the specific details of the contest. While we try to communicate clearly, we would hate for there to be any misunderstanding, after all, this was meant to be FUN!

2. Though we realize some people are luckier than others, we ask that if you have won something in the last 30 days, that you resist the temptation of entering the next contest. Let’s give someone else a chance, shall we?

3. In most cases prizes will be sent, or in the case of an event, made available via Will Call. Occasionally, we ask you to pick up the prize at the station or other location. Our station address is 34545 Hwy 20 SE Albany OR 97322. If pick up is required, you have 30 days to claim your prize. If you cannot pick up in that time-frame, please contact us at 541-926-2233.

4. Occasionally we get really crazy and giveaway a prize over $600. If you are lucky enough to win one of the “Big Prizes”, or a number of medium prizes totaling $600 in a calendar year, you will receive a little something extra. It’s called a 1099 form. You see Uncle Sam loves to collect taxes and when you win $600 or more in a calendar year the IRS wants you to pay taxes on it. I know, it seems silly, but just remember this isn’t our rule, it’s Uncle Sam’s. We just like to make sure he doesn’t get upset with us.

5. Part of the joy of giving things away is hearing the excitement in your voices when you win. So by accepting our prizes you allow us to use your name, voice, photo or likeness as we share your joyous moment with others. So when we call sound excited! When we take your picture, Smile! Or if you are particularly blessed by your winnings, we would love to hear from you. Give us a call or drop us a note, email or Facebook Post. It’s super encouraging.

6. Now for the bad news to the staff. Employees of Extra Mile Media and their relatives are ineligible to win any contest on HOPE 107.9, KWIL 790 AM, our websites or social media.

7. Our last item is a bit more legal mumbo jumbo. We reserve the right to stop any promotion or contest at any time, for any reason. Though it’s very unlikely, the possibility does exist that events beyond our control may cause the termination or alteration of a contest.

8. None of our contests will ever require a purchase of any kind. If anyone claiming to be a representative of Extra Mile Media, HOPE 107.9 or this website suggest you make a purchase for the chance to enter, please refuse and contact us immediately. 9. Odds of winning one of our contests are dependent upon the total number of contestants who enter. Contests will never require a purchase of any kind. You can view our website for details as to how winners are selected for each of our contests. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

10. Finally, have fun and enjoy the booty. We love being able to give things away but it is usually because of the generosity of one of our Community Partners. When you redeem your prize be sure to tell them how much you appreciate it. It not only makes us look good but it makes them feel great.
