History Talks- Preserving America's Historic Houses

This talk will include a brief history of the preservation movement in America, some examples of significant historic preservation efforts, and an overview of the different principles behind historic preservation methods. It will conclude with some basic tips for anyone interested in preserving their family history or historic home.
This series has been funded by grants from Oregon Historical Society and Marion Cultural Development Corporation and admission will be free. Docent guided tours of the Brown House will also be offered with light refreshments available.
