6th Annual Tour & Chocolate Walk

Revitalize Downtown Stayton and Brown House Event Center
will co-sponsor the 6th Annual Stayton Ghost Tour and Chocolate Walk on Friday,
October 27, 2023 between 5:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. - IN PERSON AGAIN!
After a brief history of the Brown House (Stayton’s first hospital) groups will leave every
ten minutes. The group will proceed to several shops downtown, to find costumed
characters who will share history and stories about Historic Downtown Stayton. After
hearing history about several buildings, participants will receive chocolate treats from
participating stores when you return to those locations. Participants are encouraged to
wear a costume.
You are welcome to check in at Brown House as early as 4:00 p.m. and you can shop
or eat either before or after your tour, as long as you return promptly at your assigned
time. Several businesses will be open for you to browse or eat. Our last in-person
event was a wild success. “It was so much fun!”, “like Trick-or-Treating for adults!” and
“very good haunting stories and great shops!” were some of the comments made. Our
sixth year promises to be bigger and better!
This is approximately a 12 block walking tour that includes stairs so is not suitable for
persons with limited mobility. There are no ADA accommodations. Minimum age for
participants is 13 if accompanied by an adult.
All tickets must be purchased online by going to www.brownhouse.org Tickets on sale
October 1-20th for $17.50 each. No ticket sales after October 20th.
