How do I love fall? Let me count the ways!
- The cool, crisp weather.
- The changing leaves.
- Breaking out my cozy sweaters, socks, and boots.
- Pumpkin-flavored EVERYTHING.
- So many celebrations! My October birthday, followed by Halloween, Thanksgiving, my hubby's birthday, and then the Christmas season.
What’s interesting is that all the fun and beauty of this time of year is happening against a backdrop of things that are ending.

The reason the leaves are so beautiful is that they are entering their very last stage of existence. They’re changing colors because they’re dying.
Fall marks the end of summer, the end of long days, the end of the growing season, the end of another year.
Maybe that’s why, as much as I truly love this time of year, it always comes with a sense of melancholy.
In Ecclesiastes we’re told there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.
Perhaps we can learn from autumn that there is purpose, beauty, and hope to be found in every season of our lives, even in a season when good things are coming to an end.
