You Can Help Texas Flood Victims

Tragedy has a way of bringing out the best, and worst, in people. Help for Texans affected by the recent floods has started pouring in, with people around the world ready to give generously of their time and money. Unfortunately, scammers are already working hard to take advantage of your compassion.

Here are links to reputable non-profits that you can trust with your donation.

Austin Disaster Relief Network - We are a trained network of churches offering physical, emotional, and spiritual support to disaster survivors to meet short and long-term needs. By serving our communities in times of crisis, we offer the transforming hope of Jesus Christ.

God's Pit Crew - God’s Pit Crew is a non-profit, faith-based disaster response team of volunteers who wish to serve others.  When disaster strikes, God’s Pit Crew is there to deliver hope, healing, and restoration to hurting people in times of disaster.  God’s Pit Crew is headquartered in Danville, Virginia, and provides disaster response around the globe.

World Central Kitchen - We provided hot meals at a reunification center where evacuees were gathering to reconnect with loved ones. In Hunt, we are specifically supporting the Camp Mystic community, which has been hit hard by the flooding. Our meals are reaching families at reunification centers, hotels, and rescue crews on-site at the camp and comforting families who are grieving. In addition to the impacted summer camps, we delivered hundreds of hot meals and sandwiches in some of the hardest-hit communities, including Kerrville, Hunt, and Germantown, TX. The team delivered these meals to displaced families sheltering in hotels or with other family members, and to first responders working long hours in the search zone.

Kerr County Flood Relief Fund - The Kerr County Flood Relief Fund supports relief and rebuilding efforts after the flood of July 4, 2025. Your generosity helps our neighbors recover. The Community Foundation - a 501(c)(3) public charity serving the Texas Hill Country - will direct funds to vetted organizations providing rescue, relief, and recovery efforts as well as flood assistance. The Fund will support the communities of Hunt, Ingram, Kerrville, Center Point, and Comfort. All donations are tax-deductible, and you will receive a receipt for your gift.

The Salvation Army of Texas - The Salvation Army is mobilizing in response to severe floods in Texas this Fourth of July holiday.  Our services include providing emergency aid, food, drinks, emotional and spiritual care, and critical supplies to survivors and rescue workers in five states. When you support Salvation Army disaster services, 100% of your donation is applied to the disaster relief operation you select. And The Salvation Army NEVER applies an administrative fee to any disaster gift. If disaster donations exceed identified needs, excess funds will be restricted to support future disaster services.

Austin Pets Alive! - An animal rescue service that has taken in more than 150 pets from flooded areas and shelters, is asking for monetary donations to assist in its relief efforts. On Sunday, the group organized a volunteer search and rescue group to search for pets along the river banks of the flood.
