Steve Burns, the OG host of Blue's Clues (and the very best host, IMHO) is going to drop a new podcast soon, and I'm pretty excited about it.
The podcast, called “Alive,” is being billed as a “cozy and delightful weekly series” where Burns will talk about “what it means to stay human in a complicated world,”
My kids, especially my oldest, Andrew, LOVED Blue's Clues. Steve, with his gentle and kind personality, helped grow their little minds teaching them problem solving skills and how the world works (like with the Planet song, to which our whole family still knows all the words). But, it was also a show with a lot of heart, with life lessons about friendship, kindness, and putting others first. The show was also slow-paced, especially by today's standards. And, Steve was the friendly guy ushering them through each episode.
The way the new podcast is being described, it sounds young people my kid's age (mid-20's) will feel something very familiar as they listen. Steve will still be ushering them through, but this time the lessons will be about the things that millennials/zillenials are wrestling with. And I can't think of a better person for the job.
Look for "Alive" with Steve Burns this fall.
