My daughter works at a daycare in the infant room. She said that it’s a little bittersweet when babies do things for the first time when they’re with her. She’s excited to see the babies reach milestones, but she feels sad when the parents aren't there to see it.
Well, one baby in Las Vegas just took her first steps and she made sure NO ONE missed it. It happened during the half-time baby race at a Las Vegas Aces game. Part way through the race, Baby #8, who was already way ahead of the pack, decided she was done with crawling and took her very first steps as fans in attendance cheered her on. Her dad says “she just randomly decided to stand up… I was not expecting that!”
