My son gave the ultimate sacrifice on December 10, 2006, when a road side bomb exploded near his humvee. He and two other soldiers were killed.   He had been in Iraq only 2 months he was deployed just 3 days after his baby boy (Kaden) was born to he and his wife Corinna.  On May 28th his name will be added to the Iraq War Hero's Memorial in Salem along with other Oregon soldiers who gave their life for our freedom. The Lord has sustained my family through this time -- as my daughter put it at his memorial service he is not a fallen soldier but a Risen Hero because of what Christ did on the cross for us.  My one desire is that through his death that the Lord will be glorified. We miss him but know we will see him again!

Aaron P. Davis
Air force
Eglin AFB, Florida
My brother Aaron has served overseas on two different occasions. He is not allowed to tell us where exactly it was that he served. He has a wife and a 4 year old son in Florida. Aaron is one of the strongest Christian men I have had the pleasure of meeting. He is, in so many ways, one of my heroes. I cannot begin to explain how much I admire him and his family and the many sacrifices they have made on behalf of our country. He has won many different awards for outstanding services and I am so extremely proud to call him my brother. I also want to say thank you to all of the other unnamed soldiers, airmen, Marines, etc. who have given their lives for us and also I want to give a huge thank-you to their families who have sacrificed and let these men and women go in order to protect freedom. God bless you all.

Served tour in Iraq
I would like to ask you all to pray for my boyfriend Elliott Diaz.  He is a grunt in the US Marines and has been serving for about 2 years now.  He has had his tour to Iraq, and by God's will he survived.  He has seen some pretty disheartening things so far, I just would like you all to please pray for him to be able to adjust when he gets home.  He is on a ship right now on his way from Australia to Hawaii, I've been able to email him and he says he is doing well.  He is due home on June 22, 2007, so please keep him and his platoon in your meaningful prayers as they travel home.  Thank you all for your sacrifices, and your words of wisdom.  To the radio station- you guys have no idea how much you help me get through each day, God really shines through your station and your encouraging words, please don't ever stop what you're doing.  God Bless all of you.

I would appreciate prayer for my step-brothers this Memorial Day. They have both been in the service for almost 3 years now. This year my dad died of a sudden heart attack at age 52. This was a huge shock and a great loss to our family. Since the loss of my dad, my step-mom has been struggling as she learns how to live without my dad and carries such a great concern for the safety of her sons. Please pray that the boys will serve to the best of their ability and return home safe. Thanks so much for your prayers, I really appreciate it!

Currently serving somewhere overseas in the middle east
Oldest step-son,Petty Officer Isaac Atay Navy, nephew& Sgt. Steven Martin Air Force youngest son all currently serving somewhere overseas in the middle east area. We are not "allowed" to know where they are. Oldest son Christopher Daigle served in the Air Force a few years ago. It doesn't matter what our opinion of "war" is we need to back our military. If it were not for all who have served and will serve, we would not have the freedoms that we are blessed with. Comparing to other countries, we have it pretty darn good. I do pray for the safe return of all of our military, but at the same time I pray for God's will, He sees and knows all. I pray that strength and faith are given to those who have lost loved ones and are struggling. I firmly believe that we are in the end times and all these things that are happening all over the world certainly point in that direction. We need to come together as "one in Christ" in order to prevent the enemy from devouring us and protect all the reasons that Jesus went through what He did just for "All" of us. I thank Hope radio for giving all of us the opportunity to praise our military and to share with others. I know that God will bless Hope radio with the $30,000 that is needed to take care of the repairs per the FCC. God bless one and all. Faith and strength through our mighty Lord Jesus Christ.

Private Jerrad Craig

D Co., 1/504 PIR, 2nd BCT, 82nd Airborne Div.
Jerrad is 19 years old and was deployed to Iraq on December 27, 2006. We all miss Jerrad greatly and would like to pray for him and others in his platoon.  I also want to give God glory for the fine gentleman Jerrad has become and for keeping him safe, giving him strength to go on and to still have a kind heart.  He felt the calling to join the Army and was willing to serve his country knowing the situation at hand.  There's a lot going on out in the world and he wanted to make a difference.

I believe in my heart that God called him there.  Jerrad keeps a level head when others don't and he has been  placed in a situations where he has helped other comrades who were injured and helped them to safety.  He takes his job very seriously.  At the same time, he has come to love the children of Iraq and feels very sorry for them.  Amidst the chaos, they bring a smile to his face.  Children have a special place in his heart.  He says that he occasionally gives them candy and then tells them to go away for fear that he or they might be in danger.

I want to also thank other soldiers who have served in the past and those who are currently serving.  I would also like to request prayer for the families of soldiers at war.  I pray that God will comfort them and bring them peace.

Thank you staff of Hope 107.9 for your dedication to Christ and for providing Christian music and testimony during a difficult time and to bring new people to Christ.

Thank you.

Killed in action in QuangNam
Killed in action in QuangNam, South Vietnam on August 25, 1966. He was 22, I was 17 and pregnant with my 2nd child when he was killed. Rick was my  big brother, my hero. I was so devastated by his death, that I went searching for truth via drugs, promiscuity, Astrology, transcendental meditation, Krishna, you name it....then during the Jesus Movement a friend came over with a Bible and I heard the truth and immediately invited Christ in. My entire life changed. My son whom I named after my brother is now a pastor in San Diego at a Calvary Chapel fellowship. Many of our family members including my other son, my mom and dad, my brother, and many grand kids are saved as a result of my search for truth due to my brother's sacrifice. When he was in VietNam, he sent me a picture of him in front of a Chaplain's tent, and his belongings we received after his death contained a Bible .I am trusting that he was saved.
