EEO activities during the year included:
1. Participation in an Internet job bank to promote job openings in broadcasting with regular on air announcements. KWIL & KHPE each air 365 “Christianjobs.com” :30 second announcements per year at various times of day. Christianjobs.com is an employment agency, which posts job openings in broadcasting. We also have a link to Christianjobs.com web site on our web site for KHPE.
2. In November of 2011 we visited local area pre-school and elementary school. We explained how recording audio can be used on a radio station and then recorded each class for possible playback. Students learned how live recording could be created and then used as part of regular radio programming

EEO activities during the year included:
1. Participation in an Internet job bank to promote job openings in broadcasting with regular on air announcements. KWIL & KHPE each air 365 “Christianjobs.com” :30 second announcements per year at various times of day. Christianjobs.com is an employment agency, which posts job openings in broadcasting. We also have a link to Christianjobs.com web site on our web site for KHPE.
2. Participation in the Albany Chamber of Commerce Job Fair for area High School students. Extra Mile Media provided a representative that interviewed perspective applicants and provided a critique to help prepare for future job interviews.
3. Continuation of an on-air internship-training program. This program involves instructing young people who are interested in a career in broadcasting. The interns are allowed supervised time on the air, and are critiqued on a regular basis. It is hoped that the interns will gain skills that qualify them for higher-level positions in broadcasting.

On Thursday, November 5, 2009 we gave an offer letter to the most qualified candidate. He accepted our offer on Friday, November 6, 2009.

From these 4 applicants, one person was chosen for the position. She was hired 9/4/07.
