What: 2ndAnnual Squeaky Clean Hygiene Drive of Lane County
When: Month of June
Where: Collection Bins at Various Locations
Details: It’s summer, it’s hot and just about everyone needs personal hygiene items. However, it’s a struggle for people facing poverty to simply afford food and rent. Often they are left with little or no money for many basic essentials, such as personal care products.
During the month of June, Catholic Community Services is conducting the 2nd annual “Squeaky Clean Hygiene Drive” in Lane County. CCS invites churches, schools, businesses or organizations to participate in the drive by collecting personal hygiene items for people in need.
Participating in the Squeaky Clean Hygiene Drive is a great opportunity for members of the community to help homeless and low-income families by donating items, which will be given directly to those in need. Donations can include deodorant, soap, razors, dental products, feminine hygiene products, shampoo/conditioner, and sunscreen.
Collection bins are located at the Catholic Community Services centers in Eugene at 1464 W. 6th Avenue and in Springfield at 1025 G Street. Collection bins are also located at Central Presbyterian Church, Church of Nazarene, Ebbert Memorial UMC, Emerald Bible Fellowship, Emerald Community Fellowship, Eugene Friends Meeting, EWEB Main Office, Horsfall and Fipps, CPA, Northwood Christian Church, St Alice Catholic Church, St Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, St Helen and St Rose of Lima Catholic Churches, St Mark Catholic Church, St Paul Catholic Church, St Peter Catholic Church, Temple Beth Israel, The Daily Bagel, United Methodist St Paul Center, OnPoint Credit Union, St Thomas More Newman Center and Valley Covenant Church.
