What: GRAND RE-OPENING of the American Legion Albany Post 10
When: Friday, June 14th through Sunday, June 16th, (times vary – see below)
Where: 1215 Pacific Blvd, Albany
Details: We will have an open house over the week end as we invite the public to get acquainted with us and ask qualified Veterans to consider becoming a Legionnaire if you are not a member already.
The kick off will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1 PM on Friday, Flag Day, June 14th. The day will include an open house and a military ceremony as we present the colors. We will have a top notch singer for our National Anthem and a great bugler to sound Taps.
Friday evening will include a dinner and live entertainment provided by the classic rock, easy listening, jazz, country and folk sounds of Parish Gap, a great local band.
Saturday will kick off with a breakfast by the Boy Scouts and a BBQ in the parking lot for lunch. We have invited local car collector clubs to participate by parking their classic cars on 7th Street across from the parking lot of the Legion.
Saturday night’s fare will be your choice of a prime rib dinner or baked prawns. Entertainment will be the high energy bluegrass/roots music sounds of Kathy Boyd and Phoenix Rising.
Sunday, Father’s Day will feature a breakfast by the Boy Scouts.
